Government College is conscious of its role in protecting the environment by following the concept of "Say no to Plastics". This is followed within the campus and in the extension, activities carried out in the neighbourhood.

The ban of plastics is implemented as follows:

☛• No use of plastic bags less than 50 microns.

☛ • Plastics cups and plates are banned in canteen and during functions in campus.

☛• Plastic materials for decoration are banned.

☛• Single use plastic banners are banned.

☛• The use of eco-friendly products like jute or cloth bags and files are encouraged.

☛• Quality circle monitors the implementation of the ban.

☛• All the departments have to comply with the policy while organizing events
